mat care

for the longest life of the mat:

roll it mat-side out. always. this keeps the printed surface from cracking over time.

wipe clean with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. don't soak it. don't put it in the washing machine.

air dry flat or unrolled. don't leave it in direct sun for hours. heat dulls the print.

store it loosely rolled in a cool place. not crammed in a tote bag for weeks.

first few uses, you might notice a faint rubber smell. it's natural rubber, doing what natural rubber does. it fades quickly. unrolling the mat in fresh air for a day helps.

a mat that's looked after will outlast most of the things you've ever owned.
